"WHERE IT ALL STARTED"

Self taught drummer Robby Allen, has been drumming since he was 3 years old.

When Robby was 3 years old he started to fall in love with music. Rob didn't have the finger size or patients to learn a string instrument but was always fascinated by drummers.

Robby would take his mothers pots and pans setting them up on his bed and throw his walk-man headphones on and drum to whatever cd's his older sisters owned. Not having drum sticks he would take the spoons as well. After breaking the spoons each session he would tape the wooden spoons back together and hope his mom wouldn't find them.

Once his mother got sick of finding broken kitchen wear she got him drum sticks and a practice pad. To Robby the practice pad was a snare drum he still used the pots, pans, pillows and buckets.

Rob didn't get his first drum set until the 6th grade. His neighbors hated how loud he would play and how many hours he would play for. But they told him he was doing a "good job" and "at least it sounds on beat".

Since then Robby has played in multiple bands including Jazz, Classical, Alternative and Rock.  Rob has recored at big studios in Chicago and music schools such as SAE in London, UK.

"As a self taught drummer I would watch other people and figure it out. But it took a lot of practice and dedication. growing up drumming I would play everything such as Blink 182, Linkin Park, Avenge seven fold, Atreyu, Maroon 5, Sum 41, Panic At The Disco, All American Rejects, Green Day, Good Charolette, Slipknot, System Of A Down, The Offspring and many many more".

"Travis Barker was my biggest influence as a drummer. I learned a lot of my fills and speed from that guy. I would listen to Blink all the time just to visualize how he was drumming and practice in my head even with out a kit in front of me". -Robby

Robby is for hire as a drummer for all kinds of music, gigs, shows, tours and recordings.
